God controls the climate -- not humans

This, from Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okl., during a recent radio show interview:

"Genesis 8:22 that I use there is that 'as long as the earth remains there will be springtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, day and night,' " said Inhofe, pointing to Scripture cited in a passage from his latest book, The Greatest Hoax: How the Global Warming Conspiracy Threatens Your Future. "My point is, God’s still up there," continued the senior senator from Oklahoma in the interview with Voice of Christian Youth America. "The arrogance of people to think that we, human beings, would be able to change what he is doing in the climate is, to me, outrageous."

In other words: God controls the climate. Not humankind. Not scientists, the IPCC or the United Nations. What a concept. ...

And it's really about time someone on Capitol Hill said this.
